Sacramental Programme

At our school, the Sacramental Programme is a vital part of our partnership with the parish. Together, we support our children as they grow in faith and prepare to receive the sacraments for the first time.

Each year, most of our Year 3 pupils mark two very special milestones in their faith journey:

• The Sacrament of Reconciliation

• The Sacrament of First Holy Communion

Preparation for these sacraments is led by a member of staff who is also an active member of the parish, strengthening the link between school and church. Throughout the year, parents are invited to attend a series of meetings, including an introduction to the programme and sessions focused on preparing for the Presentation Mass, First Reconciliation, and First Holy Communion. These gatherings support families in nurturing their children’s faith as they continue their “Heart Speaks to Heart” journey.

The celebration of First Holy Communion is always a joyful and memorable occasion. Families come together with the parish community to celebrate as the children receive Jesus in the Eucharist for the very first time.
