Marine Team

Genesis 2:15 “The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.”

The Marine Team spread the message that we need to care for God’s Creatures and remember that fish are part of God’s creation. They remind others to treat the fish gently and respectfully. Children from EYFS are involved in the Marine Team and they contribute to a vibrant and faith-filled environment within the school and beyond.

  • Learning responsibility Children learn that living things need care every day. Feeding the fish helps them understand responsibility and routines.

  • Teamwork and sharing Children often take turns feeding the fish, learning to cooperate and follow rules.

  • Meaningful links to being stewards of creation

  • Understanding science Fish help children learn about animals, life cycles, habitats, and basic needs like food, water, and oxygen.

The children have embraced being part of the Marine Team and remember to ask if the fish have been fed. They have watched the fish tank being cleaned and notice changes in the fish tank.
