Payments and Charges

From January 2018, St Sebastian's became a cashless school and all payments are made via the School Gateway.

Our school office staff, Mrs Cooper, Miss Connaughton and Mr Shobo (School Business Manager) will be happy to help with any queries.

Instant Bank Transfer Payment Option

This involves a one-time set up process and is covered by the Direct Debit Guarantee. There is no need to enter card details every time you wish to make a payment. Simply login to the School Gateway and select the payment option Instant Bank Transfer to set up your details. Payments can then be made either through the website or through the app.

This is our preferred method of payment as this saves the school money on transaction charges but you can still continue to pay by debit/credit card if you wish.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Are you new to School Gateway?

Using School Gateway gives you the flexibility to pay for school items such as lunches, trips and Breakfast Club anytime at your convenience and you can also view your child's dinner money and Breakfast Club balances.

Activating your School Gateway account is a quick and easy process. You just need your email address and mobile number (matching our records)

Click on the School Gateway button below or log in at https://login.schoolgateway.com and click on 'New User'. A PIN number will be sent to your mobile and you will need to use this to login as 'Existing User'.

If you experience difficulty logging in it may be that we do not have your up to date email/mobile number. Please contact the school to clarify this.

Free App!

Please also download the School Gateway App from your App Store (Android and iPhone) which gives you the same functionality as the website PLUS this enables free two-way messaging between you and the school.

(Please note that due to changes in the Payment Card Industry compliance Standards, the School Gateway app can no longer process payments by phones that use older versions of Android software (4.3 Jelly Bean or earlier)

PCI-DSS Standards

Schoolcomms Payments uses a payment processor to process debit/credit card details.

The payment processor is certified by Trustwave against the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard v1.2 (PCIDSS) as a Level 1 Service Provider.

For added security, Schoolcomms doesn’t store any card details (card number, expiry date, security number). For more information about PCI-DSS visit their home page

Charging and Remissions

We do not charge for educational activities that take part during the school day.  However, without some contribution from parents, it would be impossible to run all of the activities we offer.  School funds are used to subsidise all school trips, to pay for after school sport and dance clubs, to pay for swimming lessons for children in years 3 and 4 and to provide a school PE kit for your child. We also pay for the Christmas Pantomime and for some children to have music lessons from the Pupil Premium grant funding. We ask for a contribution from parents to cover any other trips or activities in order to continue to offer these experiences to our children, and we thank you for your support in this area.  Our charging and remissions policy can be found below.
