School Council
Our School Council is a team of thoughtful and caring pupils who help to make our school a safer, kinder and happier place for everyone. Guided by our Catholic values, the children live out the principles of Catholic Social Teaching—especially human dignity, solidarity and the common good.
At the beginning of each school year, two pupils from every class are democratically elected to represent their classmates. This gives all children the opportunity to learn about democracy, responsibility and fair decision‑making, reflecting our fundamental British Values
The School Council leads important projects across the school, including creating posters that remind us how to stand up to bullying, supporting the peaceful use of our Peace Garden as a calm and prayerful space, and promoting safe and sensible behaviour on the trim trail. Through their actions, they help ensure our school remains a welcoming, respectful and inclusive community.
Council members listen carefully to the ideas and concerns of others, represent their classes faithfully and ensure that every voice is heard and valued. Decisions are made through discussion and voting, teaching children about mutual respect, fairness and individual liberty.
Our School Council shows us that even small actions can make a big difference when we work together with kindness and courage. Recently, they helped to set up our House Point Reward Shop, listening to class suggestions and helping to choose rewards that celebrate positive behaviour and achievement across the school.
