In Maths this half term, Year 2 are learning about place value, and addition and subtraction.

In place value, the children will understand why numbers are written in certain ways, and how to partition numbers.

In addition and subtraction, the children will learn how to add and take away over a 10. They will also learn how their number bonds to 100.

Please ensure your children practice their times tables on TTRS so they continue their practice.

The children also have a 5-10 minutes daily lesson of Mastering number, where they learn the basic number skills for Year 2.
