Hello Year 2,
I can’t quite believe it’s been nearly two weeks since we were last together and it might be a while until we see each other again. But I want you all to know that I’m thinking about you and missing us all being together, reading Matilda and writing about Zog! I hope you’re all fine at home and looking after each other. I’m sure your family are really busy and I hope you are helping as much as you can, tidying up, cleaning your bedroom and playing nicely with your brothers and sisters. I’m sure you are following instructions from your family first time like you do for me! 😊
I am adding work to the website for you, please don’t worry if you get stuck on some of it! All I ask is that you try your best and you know I will be proud of you. It is so important to keep reading, keep practising your handwriting and keep counting!
I’m sure there are things that you don’t understand at the moment about what is going on in the world but remember we are all here to make sure you are well and safe and being at home is the best thing at the moment!
I can’t wait to hear about all the lovely things you have been doing at home.
Take care children and stay safe.
I will see you very soon.
Love from Mrs Lomax
P.S. Have you drawn a rainbow and stuck it on your window? We are doing this to say a great big thank you to all the people who are working hard and keeping us safe.
Dear Year Two,
I wanted to say I miss you all very much and I hope you're staying safe at home with your families and remembering to wash your hands regularly. My children like to wash their hands while singing happy birthday or baby shark. What do you like to sing to make sure your hands are cleaned for 20 seconds? Maybe you could have a go at making up your own song? I know Year Two is FULL of fantastic singers!
My family and I have been enjoying the recent sunshine from our garden with school work and outdoor games My son Bobby who is in Year One has been doing some of his school work out there; maybe you could do that too.
As you all know Mrs Walker loves art and loves seeing all of your creations. I would love you to draw some sunshine pictures, flower or plant drawings, as it is spring after all. I wonder if any of you have prepared some Easter crafts yet or have been on an Easter egg hunt around your house. Maybe you could have a go at making your own treasure hunt for someone in your home with a map and lots of clues! What could the treasure be at the end?
Continue being the helpful children I know you are and listening to the adults in your house as they want to keep you safe. I look forward to seeing all of the activities you have been working on at home and I look forward to seeing you all again when we can all safely return to school.
