Understanding of the world

After reading the traditional tale Jack and the Beanstalk, we decided it would be fun to grow our own beanstalks. We are amazed by the roots and the leaves we are starting to see. Reception are defiantly looking after the seeds well.

Jack and the Beanstalk

"Together for a better internet".

In Reception, we have been using the iPad and discussing how to use them appropriately and how to keep safe on then. We want to make the internet a safer and better place for all, especially for children and young people.

To celebrate Science Week 2022, Reception made their own seed bombs. We discussed that when seeds grow into plants, they support humans and animals by producing oxygen. Some of the other questions we discussed were; How do plants spread their seeds? What do they need to grow? What are the different parts of plants and what are they for?

We can't wait to plant our seed bombs next week and see what happens.
